What sports is this turf suitable for?
Training and practice pitches, multi-use games areas, five-a-side, padel and community sports grounds. For a specific sport or a governing-body standard, tell us at enquiry stage and we match the pile height, density and infill system to it.
Do sports pitches need infill?
Yes. Longer sports piles (20 mm and above) are engineered to be laid with an infill system — usually sand, or sand plus a performance infill — which supports the fibres and sets the playing characteristics. The turf and infill are specified together.
Do you supply a shock-pad?
A shock-pad (e-layer) underlay is added where a project needs certified impact performance, for example against a governing-body standard for force reduction. We advise on the pad specification per project; it is not required for every training surface.
How long does a sports surface last?
Service life depends on how many hours a week it is played and on base and installation quality. UV-stabilised yarn and the right density for the traffic level are the biggest factors; a daily-use school pitch and a lightly used games area wear at very different rates.
Does it drain well enough for year-round use?
Yes. A PU-coated woven backing over a properly built permeable sub-base clears heavy rain quickly. In-service drainage depends as much on the base as on the turf, so base design matters.
Can you produce a sports specification under our own brand?
Yes. OEM/ODM is our standard model, including customer-specified rolls, packaging and documentation. Send the target sport, standard and pitch dimensions and we will build the specification.
